Lindelof And Lukaku Shirt Numbers Revealed

New signings Victor Lindelof and Romelu Lukaku will wear shirt numbers two and nine respectively for Manchester United this season.

Swedish defender Lindelof, who became Jose Mourinho’s first capture of the summer when he completed a move from Benfica last month, takes a no.2 shirt that has been vacant since Rafael’s departure in 2015.

Belgian striker Lukaku sealed a much-heralded move from Everton on Monday and assumes the no.9 shirt from Zlatan Ibrahimovic, the most recent of several iconic forwards to have worn it over the years.

Both players could turn out in their new numbers if they make their unofficial debuts in Saturday’s opening game of Tour 2017, presented by Aon, against LA Galaxy.
