Man. United Close To Securing Fee To Sign Ivan Perisic From Inter Milan

Manchester United are close to agreeing a fee with Inter Milan for Ivan Perisic, according to Sky sources.

Sky Sports News understands the Croatia winger does not want to fly to China with the rest of the Inter squad on Tuesday ahead of their pre-season tour.

Perisic was given permission to leave Inter's training camp in the Alps on Saturday to return to Croatia to see a dentist because of a tooth abscess.

United boss Jose Mourinho has been keen to bring the 28-year-old to Old Trafford this summer, although the fee has been a sticking point in protracted negotiations between the clubs.

Inter are holding out for £48m and have also enquired about the possibility of United forward Anthony Martial being included in the deal.

Perisic joined Inter from Wolfsburg in 2015 and enjoyed a fine campaign in Serie A last season, contributing 11 goals and six assists.

He would become Mourinho's third signing of the summer following the arrivals of Victor Lindelof and Romelu Lukaku.
