Manchester United And DHL Kick Off Worldwide Games Of Football

Manchester United fans can take part in a worldwide football competition with a dedicated match ball travelling across the globe, thanks to the club’s Official Logistics Partner, DHL.

A specially-designed football will kick off on a journey from Old Trafford, with United’s first-team players getting the competition under way. The 'UNITED. DELIVERED.' matches will be spread out over thousands of miles and will be supported every step of the way by the DHL team.

Strengthening the bond of United fans worldwide like never before, more than 100 games will be played throughout the season with a lucky team, made up of randomly selected match hosts, winning a trip of a lifetime to the Theatre of Dreams.

Speaking of the campaign to engage and unite supporters across the globe, Manchester United’s Group Managing Director, Richard Arnold, commented: "Manchester United has a passionate family of supporters like no other club, with more than 659 million followers across the world.

"To be able to have our fans connect and share their love for the club through playing football is great to see. The prize on offer of an exclusive trip to Old Trafford is something that fans throughout the world dream about and we are delighted to be able to make this happen with the support of DHL."

DHL’s Fiona Taag, Head of Global Sponsorship & Europe Marketing Communications, added: "DHL are proud to be supporting the millions of Manchester United fans around the world and, with our global network on standby, we’re eager to see where they will take us.

"It’s our hope that the 'UNITED. DELIVERED.' tour will help bring fans closer together. It’s great to think that Man Utd fans will be using our match kits on pitches, or in parks or gardens, around the world for years to come."

United fans, whether groups of friends or established sports teams, can take part in the initiative, which was launched on 10 July 2017, with the final game being played in April.

Fans can register their interest by logging onto www.dhl.com/UnitedDelivered to take part as well as keeping up to date with the football’s journey on social media, using #DHLUnitedDelivered.
