Movie Review -- The Haunted School

Went to catch the sneak preview of The Haunted School last saturday with my friends and was utterly disappointed with this movie! This show is absolutely lousy and is definitely not worth the $9 admission ticket. The plot is bad, acting atrocious and its really a torture to watch this show without feeling guilty of wasting some 88 minutes of precious time. I would prefer to spend that amout of time catching up on some valuable sleep.... .

If your eyesight is good, you will notice from the poster that this is a production from the famous Andrew Lau.Yes, this is the guy who brought you the hugely popular Infernal Affairs. So, what has this guy done to justify his talent in The Haunted School? This latest work of his should be classified as the worst film he has ever produced... .

The scary or irritating part of this movie is the loud screaming sounds blasting from the cinema speakers. Its really very ear piercing and makes one wonder when will the whole thing end so as to spare oneself the agony..... .

After the show, I have to admit that I am a bit spooked by the movie. I am not at all frightened by the horrifying scenes from the movie, but is rather scared that I might go deaf by the unusually loud screaming noises throughout the whole show. I think its not worth to lose my sense of hearing to this rather crappy movie.

Don't say you have not been warned.... . Watch this movie at your own risk..... .

" The Show is so bad that I rather hang myself.... . " (A scene from the movie)

They should have read the script carefully before commiting themselves to this movie.... . (A scene from the movie)

Plot:

After a secret party, love blossoms for the youngsters. When one couple is found dead mysteriously, another couple decides to challenge the rule forbidding students to fall in love, hoping that this will lead them to the cause of their classmates' death.

Rating:

1.5 stars out of 5
