Man. United Launch Arabic Website

Manchester United is delighted to unveil its new official Arabic-language website, www.arabic.manutd.com.

Arabic.manutd.com is the club's fourth foreign language website, following the successful launch of its Chinese, Japanese and Korean websites in July 2007. Like its Asian equivalents, the Arabic website is designed to reflect the look and feel of ManUtd.com and will draw on the extensive content already published on the club’s English language site.

The depth of passion for United in Arabic-speaking countries was demonstrated in January 2008 when Sir Alex Ferguson's team played an exhibition match in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Now these fans can read United news, match reports and player profiles in their own language and navigate their way to the club's online store.

A second launch phase planned for the summer will introduce other sections including club history and honours, and a myriad of fan-focused content.

Sameer Pabari, Director of Media at Manchester United, said:

“Our investment in the Arabic language is another clear demonstration of our commitment to Manchester United supporters around the world. The site will help us to achieve our goal of strengthening the connection between the club and our loyal, global fanbase.”

United's other links with Arabic-speaking countries include a partnership with Saudi Telecom, the largest telecommunications company in the Middle East.
