Neville: Race Is Hotting Up
Gary Neville believes the 2009/10 Premier League title race could be the most competitive in years.
The veteran defender has helped Manchester United to take the crown in each of the last three seasons, but the Red Devils' grip on the trophy could be slipping.
Chelsea lead the way heading into Christmas, with Arsenal, Aston Villa and Tottenham still well in the hunt.
Neville feels the increased competition in the English top flight is a positive sign and is adamant that United and Chelsea will not be allowed to pull clear of the chasing pack.
"I've been saying all along that it's not a two-horse race - it can change so quickly," said the experienced full-back.
"We've dropped points, Chelsea have dropped points, and it can close up at the top very quickly."
He added: "I think the Premier League is getting stronger, with teams like Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur and Villa spending a lot of money.
"But it's always been the case that all teams can beat one another in England."
