Lessons Learned For Fabio

Former Manchester United striker Joe Jordan expects Fabio to have learned from his experience on loan at Queens Park Rangers last season.

The Brazilian full-back spent the entire campaign at Loftus Road, where Jordan is now a coach, but he was unable to prevent Harry Redknapp's side from sliding out of the Barclays Premier League.

After playing 23 times for the West Londoners, and scoring in his only FA Cup appearance against MK Dons, the South American must aim to take the positives from a year away from Old Trafford as he returns to stake his claim for a place in David Moyes' squad.

"I think we all learned from last season as it was a very, very difficult campaign," explained Jordan to ManUtd.com. "Whether it was someone in the latter part of his career or someone like Fabio just starting out.

"He will have learned a lot from last year. Hopefully, he can use it to better himself for the future that he has in the game.

"You see different aspects of life in football and you have got to store that away and use it because it was a hard season last year for everybody. It wasn't easy and it's not always you learn from campaigns where you're successful but when things haven't gone well and there's been disappointment.

"Sometimes, you learn from that and why it was like that. You have got to use that and make sure you gain something from all those difficult times and benefit from that experience."
