Vidic Backs Club Over Rooney

Nemanja Vidic is confident Manchester United will resolve the speculation surrounding Wayne Rooney's future.

Rooney's future at Old Trafford has been the subject of intense speculation all summer with Chelsea seeing two bids rejected for the England star.

Vidic admits he is not worried about the prospect of seeing Rooney exit the club and will leave his future in the hands of the club.

"To be fair I am not as worried as much [about Rooney]," Vidic told Sky Sports News. "Wayne is training well and obviously the club is really strong in what they are saying and they obviously know what they are doing and I trust in the manager and the club.

"I don't go that far, but what I can say he is training really well. He's good in the dressing room and that's the most important thing.

"I think he has trained really well. Obviously he had a few small injuries in the last few weeks, but he has trained really well.

"Obviously he didn't have as much games, but the season is long and I think he will be good."
