Amos Loan Deal Agreed

Manchester United have agreed a deal with Carlisle United to allow Ben Amos to head to Brunton Park in a month-long loan deal.

The 23-year-old is due to stay with the Cumbrians until 14 December but will be unable to play in the FA Cup for Graham Kavanagh's side.

Amos played in United's last Under-21 outing, a 1-0 defeat to Stoke City - the club he faced on his senior Barclays Premier League debut. This followed a superb performance for Warren Joyce's team during a goalless draw at Everton's Goodison Park.

"As usual, Manchester United have been fantastic with us," Kavanagh told Carlisle's official website. "They wanted him to come to us and play because he hasn't had games recently. They think very highly of him so this fits perfectly with what they want for him at the moment.

"I've seen him quite a few times over the years and he's a good, all-round keeper."

Reece James also had a temporary spell with Carlisle at the start of the season.
