De Gea Pleased With Form
Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea has told the new issue of Inside United that he feels bang on top of his game this season.
In an in-depth interview with the official club magazine, which was on sale at Old Trafford at the weekend and is now available in all good newsagents, the young Spaniard explains that he is enjoying a fine period in his footballing life.
“I’m very happy with it,” David says of his form. “I feel like this is a particularly good moment in my career right now and I hope to continue in the same vein. I feel like I'm always improving and I want to make sure that continues.”
Now in his third season, De Gea stands on the verge of notching up his 100th United appearance. When he does so he will become the second-youngest goalkeeper in Reds history to reach that mark, behind only Gary Bailey.
“One hundred, eh? Wow!" exclaims the 23-year-old. “I'll be delighted to reach that figure. It makes me very happy and I want to make it to 200 and then 300 appearances. Please, let it continue!”
