Manchester United Are Interested In Newport County Defender Regan Poole

Manchester United are keeping an eye on Newport County’s promising defender Regan Poole.

According to the Sun, the 16-year-old has impressed United officials during a week-long trial at their Carrington training ground.

With Poole reportedly attracting a number of potential suitors, including Fulham, Newport boss Justin Edinburgh hopes his side can help nurture the youngster into a top player.

“There will be a lot of interest in a player of his quality,” the County manager said.

“We have to manage him right. I hope to keep him for the near future.”
