John Stones Could Be Bought For £45m

Manchester United would be prepared to spend a British record transfer fee for a defender of more than £45m to sign Everton's John Stones, reports the Manchester Evening News.

They claim manager Louis van Gaal has had the Everton and England centre back watched this season ahead of a potential summer bid.

It is also reported with Chelsea and Barcelona targeting the 21-year-old, Everton are refusing to let him go on the cheap. but that United would not be put off by their £45m asking price.
