Manchester United Sell More Shirts Than Any Other Club In World Football
Manchester United sell more shirts than any other club in world football, according to a study.
The club sold an average of 1.75 million shirts per year during the five-year period from the 2011-12 season to 2015-16.
Real Madrid are second, selling an average of 100,000 fewer shirts per year at 1.65m, while Barcelona sold 1.28m.
Bayern Munich were the fourth and final team to sell more than one million shirts per year during that period, with Chelsea completing the top-five with 899,000 shirt sales.
Premier League clubs Liverpool and Arsenal are sixth and seventh respectively on the list. The Reds sold 852,000 shirts while the Gunners offloaded 835,000.
Manchester City sit 13th, selling fewer shirts than Turkish clubs Fenerbahce and Galatasaray, while Tottenham are 15th on the list having sold 268,000 per year.
