Henry On Wenger V Mourinho Rivalry

Thierry Henry previews Man Utd's clash with Arsenal on Saturday as Jose Mourinho and Arsene Wenger renew their rivalry.

United claimed their first league win in four games before the international break against Swansea, but sit a disappointing sixth in the Premier League going into Saturday's clash.

They are six points behind Arsenal, who are just two off leaders Liverpool, and Arsene Wenger's men are unbeaten since the opening day of the season.

But Wenger has never tasted victory in a Premier League match against now United manager Jose Mourinho. The pair have met on 11 previous occasions in the Premier League, with the Portuguese having won five of those encounters, while six ended in draws.

Henry, who played under Wenger throughout his eight-year spell with the Gunners, is excited to see whether his old boss can finally break his duck against his nemesis.

"Can Arsene Wenger win a game against Jose Mourinho in the league? That's what everyone wants to see," he said.

"Obviously Mourinho does something tactically that stops Wenger from winning.

"But Arsene has had a lot of opportunities to win a game against a side Mourinho was coaching - I am talking about the league - so when is it going to happen?"

The Sky Sports pundit was involved in some titanic battles between United and Arsenal during his time in north London.

During that time both teams fought for the Premier League title on a regular basis but despite the emergence of Chelsea and Manchester City, Henry thinks this latest meeting is a tricky one to call.

"It's going to be a tough game for both teams," he said.

"What Manchester United are we going to get, what Arsenal are we going to get?

"United have had some difficult games before the Swansea game while people were questioning Arsenal about how well they can do against a big team. But they answered that against Chelsea at home, who are admittedly a lot different now in the way they play.

"It's interesting to see how they're going to behave and play against United, especially with what happened last season.

"It's difficult to call these games after international duties. Who is going to come back fit? Who is actually going to come back?

"Maybe it wasn't ideal for United to have the break after a victory as they had to go away and then come back. It's "must-win" for United if they want to stay close to the top."
