Redknapp: Rashford 'Let Team Down'

Jamie Redknapp analysed Olivier Giroud’s late equaliser in Arsenal's 1-1 draw against Man Utd, finding fault with Marcus Rashford’s defensive contribution.

The French striker powered home an 89th-minute header to salvage a point for Arsene Wenger's side on Saturday, cancelling out Juan Mata's opener.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain provided the assist having beaten Rashford down Arsenal's right, and Redknapp was critical of the United forward after the game.

"I'm a big fan of Rashford, but I don't think he does well enough at all," the Sky Sports pundit said.

"When the manager entrusts you to come out and play on the left-hand side role, whether you're a forward or not, you have to do better.

"He gets beaten miles too easily. Rashford didn't do enough and I would be amazed if Jose Mourinho wasn't telling him that in the dressing room.

"When you are hanging on for a win with two or three minutes to go, you have to do a job for the team. He let his team down there."
