Blind: Everyone Has A Part To Play
Two wins, six goals scored and none conceded has been Manchester United’s return for Premier League home games thus far this season and Daley Blind says the Reds are aiming for more of the same on Sunday against Everton.
The returning Wayne Rooney and co will be out to halt United’s momentum, but Blind insists confidence is high throughout the group and every squad member has an important part to play across three competitions this month.
"It’s not only about the 11 players but the whole the squad is trying to do their best and we are keeping each other sharp in the training sessions. That makes you better as a player and also as a team," he told the official matchday programme, United Review.
"We have a good squad and also, in the dressing room, everyone gets along with each other, there is a lot of banter and jokes but we are also serious when we need to be. We all know what we want to achieve and we need to show that throughout the season."
Unbeaten for over a year at Old Trafford, the Reds will be keen to maintain the strong momemtum at home and our place at the top of the table.
"If you can keep going in the spirit of winning and getting good results, then that’s the best feeling there is," added Blind. "Like I said before, it’s so important that we have a big squad and everyone is ready to go on the pitch. We have to keep that feeling going, keep trusting each other and know that the team is strong whoever is playing."
