Martial On Shortlist For French Award

Anthony Martial is one of 11 players shortlisted for TF1's Young French Player of the Year award for 2017.

Fans can vote on the official website of the weekly TV show dedicated to French football, before the poll closes on Monday 11 December.

Martial has been in sensational form for Manchester United this season and qualifies as he is still under 21 years of age. There is strong competition for the prize as Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappe, Barcelona's currently sidelined Ousmane Dembele and Celtic hot-shot Moussa Dembele are also likely to prove popular in the voting.

The other contenders are RB Leipzig's Jean-Kevin Augustin, Bayern Munich wide man Kingsley Coman, Toulouse defender Issa Diop, Marseille midfielder Maxime Lopez, Saint-Etienne winger Allan Saint-Maximin, Lyon's Lucas Tousart and Borussia Dortmund centre-back Dan-Axel Zagadou.
