Early Team News: United v Brighton
Jose Mourinho has told MUTV that there will be no changes to the Manchester United squad for Saturday’s Emirates FA Cup quarter-final against Brighton.
The boss confirmed the same group of players will be available for the last-eight tie at Old Trafford as he had for the UEFA Champions League defeat to Sevilla on Tuesday night.
Marcos Rojo, who has signed a new contract with United, has missed recent matches as well as Phil Jones, Daley Blind, Ander Herrera and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
When asked by MUTV’s Mark Sullivan if any injured players will be available to face Brighton, Mourinho said: “No, not yet. [The squad is] exactly the same [as Sevilla].”
Meanwhile, Brighton will be without Anthony Knockaert, who will serve the first game of a three-match ban after being sent off in their 2-0 defeat at Everton last weekend, and fellow midfielder Steve Sidwell, who has a back problem.
Seagulls boss Chris Hughton confirmed in his pre-match press conference on Thursday that full-back Gaetan Bong and midfielder Dale Stephens are also doubtful due to minor injury problems. He also said he is undecided about whether to start with Mat Ryan - Brighton's no.1 keeper in the Premier League this season - or Tim Krul in goal.
