What's next for United in the Emirates FA Cup?

Manchester United are safely through to the fourth round of the Emirates FA Cup, following the 1-0 win over Wolves, but we will have to wait before knowing our opponents on Sunday 26 January.

The Reds are faced with the unusual situation of having to await the Tranmere Rovers-Watford replay being played only three days before the next round.

Due to the Prenton Park pitch being waterlogged, their tie has been rearranged for a week on Thursday, only two days after Watford face Aston Villa in the Premier League.

The Hornets are already selling tickets to their fans for the United clash, and will refund the money if they are knocked out.

We will provide further updates on our ticket situation but applications for both potential games will open at 08:00 GMT on Monday 20 January and close at 20:00 GMT on Thursday 23 January. The ballot will take place after the Tranmere-Watford game is concluded.

Tickets for successful supporters will be posted on the Friday by next-day signed delivery. There will be no option for cancellations.

The tie will be shown live on BT Sport in the UK, with a 15:00 GMT kick-off.

We have only met Tranmere once before at senior level, beating them 5-0 at home in the League Cup, during the 1976/77 season.

Watford knocked us out of the 1982 FA Cup third round at Vicarage Road in 1982, and beat us in the Premier League in December. However, the last time we faced the Hornets in this competition, we beat them 4-1 in the semi-final at Villa Park in 2007.
