Mercy Relief’s Goodwill Ambassador, Stefanie Sun launched Panda “Sun Sun” at rural Anyue county in Sichuan on 13 January 2009.

Panda ‘Sun Sun’ (read as San San) is the 2nd edition of Stefanie Sun’s charity collection for Mercy Relief. Each Panda is S$38*.

Sun Sun dons Mercy Relief’s field vest and cap, together with a picture of Stefanie at a Dujiangyan relief camp just after the Wenchuan earthquake. The photo comes with Stef’s personal humanitarian message and signature.

The 5,000 limited edition will be available for sale to the public and Stefanie Fans’ clubs around the world including Singapore, Taiwan, China, Macau, Hong Kong and Canada.

The first edition of Stef’s charity collection was the Goodwill Bear launched in 2005 to support the post-tsunami operations in Aceh. The limited edition of 2000 units was fully sold out within a month.

Proceeds from the sale of the pandas will go towards supporting Mercy Relief’s international development programme in the Asian region to address the rural poor.
