United Trio Toast Social Media Milestones

The Manchester United players had much to enjoy after the 1-0 victory over Liverpool and three of them had further reason to celebrate after reaching milestones on their social media accounts.

Phil Jones, a keen observer in the away end at Anfield on Sunday, joined Bastian Schweinsteiger and Anthony Martial in gaining landmark numbers of followers, as they all acknowledged with special posts.

Both Jones and Martial reached 1 million on their Instagram pages - @philjones_4 and @martial_9 respectively - with the latter giving a signed United shirt to the fan who brought up the significant total. Meanwhile, Jones released a celebratory graphic to acknowledge his supporters.

Schweinsteiger's success came on Twitter (@BSchweinsteiger) where he showed his gratitude to the 3 million people who now follow him there.
