Jones Pleased With Good Run
Phil Jones says Manchester United's players are determined to maintain the momentum gained from four wins on the trot in the last two weeks.
The Reds have picked up victories in the league over Stoke and Fulham, progressed to the fifth round of the League Cup after a 4-0 win over Norwich and secured another important three points in Europe against Real Sociedad at Old Trafford.
Moyes' men travel to Spain on Monday ahead of the reverse fixture with Sociedad knowing a victory would be a big step towards qualification for the Champions League knockout stages.
"We said about a month ago that we needed to go on a run in the league and pick up some points, and also go on a run in the cup and do well in the Champions League," Jones told ManUtd.com.
"We're slowly starting to get some momentum going and we hope we can carry that on in the Champions League on Tuesday.
"We'll be in a strong position [with a victory] but we need to keep our focus and make sure we go there and get the win."
The Reds head to Spain on the back of an impressive 3-1 win at Craven Cottage with Jones highlighting the performances of Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie as being key to the victory.
"You saw what they were like in the first half. They were linking up brilliantly and were unplayable. It just goes to show that they're top, top players," he added.
"The goals have been coming. We've created a lot of chances in previous games and could have scored five or six [at Fulham], but we got the three and hopefully we can keep creating opportunities."
